New Moon Bloom | Workshop

Saturday, May 4, 2019

1:00pm – 3:00pm

Dear Neighbor, 2415 Jefferson Ave, Richmond, VA 23223

Back in my old haunt with an armful of flowers and something to say about them. My Virginia friends and lovers, come on over to Kristy’s amazing space, DEAR NEIGHBOR, and let’s jam on some springtime blooms out back in the sweet southern sunshine.

This is making flowers for the pure joy of it. We’ll open our time with a discussion about design, color theory, and the ritual of bringing flowers into the home (and some lite discussion about the New Moon, because I’m into that sort of thing). As we dive into our work, we will be arranging locally-sourced, gorgeous stems in a beautiful crock handmade by Karen of Summer School. There are few things I love more than partnering with good humans/talented artisans AND focusing this ephemeral art towards elements that can be enjoyed long after the flowers have faded.

Investment in this two-hour workshop is $150, which includes all instruction and materials (flowers, foliage and vessel). Students are advised to bring their own cutters. Class registration is non-refundable as of April 20th. Details and FAQs will be shared with registered participants 5-days prior to workshop. Questions? Holler!
